St.Moritz and Davos

Fall has finally arrived, one of my favourite times of the year where all the leafs on (or falling off) trees, aswell as the grass change colour and cover the country with a special magical feel:) The change in season mostly brings a change in ones personal life too which definately is applicable to mine as few of you might already know. I have resigned at Davos Hospital where I have been working (and living) 11 Months at labour ward as a full time midwife (and part time as a community midwife giving Antenatal Courses etc). After 11 Months of challenges, experiances, lots of sleepless 24 to 48 hour shifts in charge on my own and (mostly) healthy babies and Mums, new friendships and life experiance, Fate has decided for me to usher in to a new era of my life.
I am leaving to Australia with a stopover in London end of October for 4 Months... Feelings of excitment and jitter are running trough me at the same time for the time to come, inquisitive for what is to come..;)

Here some Impressions from my last days up in Bündnerland, the largest and eastmost canton of Switzerland where I now have been living and working for almost a year..;)

Best Vermicelle(a traditional fall-desert out of chestnuts and merengues) I have tasted in my entire Life at Cafe Scheiders in Davos

Lake Davos

Walking home from the train Station

Enjoying the sound of 2 Men playing their Alphorn. The alphorn or alpenhorn or alpine horn is a labrophone, consisting of a natural wooden horn of conical bore, having a wooden cup-shaped mouthpiece, used by mountain dwellers in Switzerland and elsewhere. Similar wooden horns were used for communication in most mountainous regions of Europe, from French Switzerland to the Carpathians.

Brakky in famous St.Moritz
A walk along Lake St.Moritz (where the famous horse races are held on during winter)
