Bali - Indonesia

After a few hours living with the unknown whether or not we will be departing to Denpasar from Perth today or not due to some difficulties with our airline because of the volcanic ash from mount merapi in Java which has been errupting again, we ended up in the busiest part of the beautiful Indonesian Island of Bali which is called Kuta/Legian. After wandering around for several hours trying to find a suitable place to sleep and taking in all the new impressions, we finally crashed in our hotel room (which by the way was around 14AUD per night for the double room!). After an awesome indonesian rice breakfast we hit the streets to explore the markets and crazy party town which is full of tourists, market stalls, lots of traffic, western food places and clubs/pubs and magic mushroom shops aswell as locals selling drugs on every corner. to cut it short: terrible! not our taste at all to be honest. Anyways, after an exhausting day shopping for Lars and bairgaining we failed to hit the clubs as we were way too exhausted! ;) so what do we learn out of this? do NOT spend a whole entire day in the streets of Kuta! Jumping to the conclusion, we decided to hire a scooter and drive off to the country side the following day..
