A Swiss walk for Tracy

I had the honors of having Tracy with me here in Switzerland for some time this month which was wonderful!!So apart from all the other activities we did, I took her on a walk trough "countryside" where I grew up and my Family lives (and me, when Im off;)). Here some impressions, I don`t think there is need to say more..;)

A walk to our Grandparents

This morning Lars and myself went for a walk from our place to our Grandparents trough the fields of flowers and fresh grass, capturing and taking in the beauty and scent of spring whom finally decided to reach our side of the hemisphere. On our way we picked a b unch of flowers for our lovely Grandparents..

Once more I went to visit my beautiful, gorgeous godson Shen Tanat Woodson and one of my best Friends down at Lake of constance..as we just love going for Brunch, we decided to do so in Rorschach at Cafe Mozart, whilst the weather was raining cats and dogs outside..;)

Funky Flat Party

My Friend Basil, who lives in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, organised a Party at his Flat the other day due to his Birthday and just to have some people over for a good time:) It was very enjoyable and all the people were wonderful..here some impressions ( Sorry Basil, stole the Pix off your Flickr site;) )

Sandro and Marianne`s Wedding

Our Neighbour and friend Sandro and his Marianne got married at the Church in Speicher on April 24th. Here some impressions(more to come,we dont have the actual Pix yet)

Shen Tanat Woodson

On April 7th my second, beautiful little miracle of a Baby Godson (one of my best Friends, whom I grew up with) SHEN TANAT WOODSON was born..he is one of the most beautiful Babies on earth (of course my other godson Indigo is the other!:))
I am sooo proud and everytime feel heartbroken to leave Ghedey and Shen behind when leaving..:(

Hochton Mountain Music Festival

Yesterday Lars and Tarik came up to visit me in Davos as we planned to go to the first Mountain Music Festival here in Davos up on Jakobshorn which is 2590metres above sea level. It was one day of a kind and will stay in best memory for a lifetime! Thanks so much to all of you!:)

Well dear Family and Friends, as you can see I have finally pinched myself and sat infront of the computer to start typing in and creating posts of my journey to India,Barcelona and Paris.. Swiss Fall and parts of its Winter will hopefully come soon;)

Paris

Talking of taking advantage of travelling within europe, here another one;) Seeing I have 24 to 48hour shifts at work I have the great possibility to take 7-12days off in a row each month which allows me to do all these great things..
My next trip I took was Paris. Its a big embarressement to admit I havent been there in all these 26years with it being so close..
Seeing one of my friends( Yasmin)from back in Perth, whom I used to work with at Empire in Osborne Park, is living and doing her internship there in Arts/design/fashion (well, what better place to do so on earth apart from paris?!), I was determined to go and visit her which I did. It was wonderful to catch up with her, spend time and see Paris. A beautiful, beautiful city with breathtaking art and history aswell..reminded me a lot of vienna (even though vienna, of course, doesnt have all that magical feel of emotions). it was terribly, awfuly cold and it almost made it impossible to take pictures as my Hands froze as soon as taking them out of my pocket & gloves (different cold that here in Switzerland). The city in full of Boulangeries, Fromageries, Patisseries, Florists, street Art, antiquity and , yes like in the movies, people constantly carrying a Baguette everywhere at everytime;) The people, mostly, are friendly, very well dressed and very polite!
Apart from the Paris- experiances like coffee at Laduree, the eiffel tower, beautiful gardens etc I went to visit my Grandmother`s (Dads Mum) old family friend. Their friendship goes way back to world war 2, when her Family offered him great corresponding via letters over all those years. So I decided to find him and went for an interesting, fulfilling, emotional visit at his Doctor practice, Art Studio and beautiful home in Paris..My Grandmother was thrilled and loved the Pictures I took for her and most of all of course, all the news and stories I had to tell:)
I definately want to go back to Paris in one of the warmer months this year..

Barcelona

As I promised myself when I came back to europe, I am taking full advantage of the close distances inbetween the countries here and decided to explore my long wished city Barcelona:) I left on New Years day after having a great NYE with Lars home with great food and wine/beer we decided to prepare ourselfs spontanious following a comfy night on the couch watching a german movie with Till Schweiger..;)
Anyways, back to Barcelona..I can just confirm my impressions of this beautiful city I had previous to my visit! I think its one of the most amazing cities I have been to (well, maby they have just faded into the background as most of them are quite a few years back). I just absoulutely love its variety. A composition of the most beautiful Art (in love with Gaudis Work), history, culture, city, beach, hills, and alter personalities who seem to mix in with eachother just perfectly and give the whole a special and positive energy. Stayed there almost a week and experianced and saw lots of different things..I wont describe all of these thing as it would break the mold of this Post as I would get too carried away as usual;) Anyhow, here some visual impressions for you..
